Our trip to the Smokies in October
Our second trip of the year to the Smokies and the colors we close to perfect in parts of the park. Even with the government shutdown, Friends of the Smokies was keeping the park open with their funds. It was a great trip and even though we saw no bears

Jack's Dog Quilt
Gerri created a quilt of dogs for Jack. The two in the middle of the quilt is our dogs Dempsey (a Brittany) and Jonah (a Havanese). The project took a lot of work but turned out great.

Visiting the Smoky Mountains
We enjoyed our visit in the Smoky mountains during the month of May. It's always nice to visit before the summer starts and before the kids get out of school.
