So hello Ghost goodbye Wordpress
Going from WordPress to Ghost for website service might be the move of the year for my blog.
Last week I asked Gemini what is a good platform for a simple blog. I already use SmugMug for my main photography galleries website, but I wasn't happy with WordPress personal as it seemed limited and the confusing block setup just wasn't fluid to me.
Gemini of course said Squarespace along with some other companies, but the one that caught my attention was Ghost.io
I had never heard of that company and after looking at their site and the products that I offer, I have decided to give them a shot. Right off the bat I do enjoy the clear interface and having a built in newsletter is very nice.
What I don't like as much is a single template for their lowest level of membership. I am paying for their service and it's odd that I can't use any of their other free themes unless I go to the 25 dollar a month level.
I have setup the one theme to a format that I like, lets see how I feel in a couple of months... Overall the pros far outweigh the cons with comparing it to WordPress.
